Braxton's Pirate Party

"Ahoy Matey"
For Braxton's birthday he wanted to have a pirate party. It was so much fun to plan. I LOVE stuff like this!!!!!!! It stresses me out a little but I also live for things like this where I get to decorate all cute and go all out!

It was the day before his birthday and we invited all the boys his age from the neighborhood. Here are all the details.
His pirate balloons lined the walkway. This was TJ's touch to the party and he thought it was the greatest thing ever! Cute husband.

This is the entry way table. Those pirate flags on the left with the red and black are actually the invitations that I made.

This was such a fun cake to make. It was SUPER, SUPER easy and the kids loved it.

Braxton and Lauryn were dressed up as pirates. It was so cute.

The entry way

The entrance to the games.

Waiting for the boys to get here. Braxton was so excited.

After everyone arrived we went downstairs to our unfinished basement where I had all the pirate games set up. When the finished each game they got a pirate accessory (Pirate mask, pirate teeth, sword, eye patch, tattoo's, etc.)
Pass the Pirate Parrot
At this game they just passed the parrot while the music played and when it stopped the person that had it was out.
Cannonball Attack
They had to try to get as many cannonballs in the other ship before the timer went off. The one with the most cannonballs in their ship was sunk.

Walk the Plank

Treasure Chest Toss

EWWWW!!! Sick pirate teeth!

Little Laynie in the cold basement eating her ring pop and watching the crazy kids.
Cannonball Blast
At this game they had little blast cannonballs (balloons) attached to their legs. They had to try to pop everyone's cannonball before theirs. They LOVED it!

"Happy Birthday to you..."

Eating cake together. I love the faces of everyone in this picture. HILARIOUS!

...January 23rd 2011...

This is his actual birthday. We woke up and opened his presents and played for a while. His favorite present was a DS game that has 50 different games on it. We can't pry it away from him now. Definitely worth our money. After presents I made crepes for breakfast and we just had a nice relaxing day together. I loved it.

The day after his birthday he took Bugsy for show and tell. Bugsy is Lauryn's class pet. We were "lucky" enough to adopt him into our family while Lauryn was off track for 2 weeks. The kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him.
His pirate cupcakes for his class. I don't know why he keeps smiling like this. Crazy kid.

Camera Clean Up

I stole this title from my sister but it's perfect for pictures like this. So thanks Missy.
Dancing Queen...
Lauryns school has a dance specialist that comes to dance with them once a week. They had a day where we could go see what they were learning. It is so fun to watch her interact with her friends. I love that girl to peices!

At the end of the performance they all had a solo that they could make up. I posted a video of Lauryn's little solo at the end of this post.

Ohhh The Wii...
My mom has a wii at her house that we LOVE! She just got Just Dance 2 and we are having so much fun with it. Here are a couple of pictures of Lauryn and Braxton dancing together. They get along so well when they are playing the wii. I love it.
